Foreign arrivals wishing to enter Viet Nam will no longer be obliged to follow mandatory quarantine requirements as such measure has been lifted by the Ministry of Health.
The new policy was issued after Viet Nam fully resumed international tourism from March 15:
Foreign arrivals shall be required to take a RT-PCR or RT-LAMP COVID-19 test within 72 hours or a rapid test within 24 hours before departure. This requirement is not applicable to children under two years of age.
In case they could not take a COVID-19 test before departure, they shall have to take a COVID-19 test within 24 hours after arriving in Viet Nam.
Foreign arrivals shall be required to make health declaration before entry and download and use the PC-COVID app during their stay in Viet Nam. Within 10 days since the date of entry, foreign arrivals shall monitor their health themselves and immediately inform the nearest medical facilities if they experience such symptoms like fever, cough, throat pain, runny nose, chills, headaches.
Foreign arrivals shall also be required to regularly wear masks and disinfect hands.
On March 15, Viet Nam resumed pre-pandemic visa issuance to foreign arrivals as the country sought to revitalize international tourism. The country also resumed visa exemption policy for citizens from 13 countries namely German, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus./.
